Harry Berg
December 28th, 1937 - October 22nd, 2025
Harry R Berg
Born on December 28th, 1937 to Harold and Jenalda Berg. He resided in Cloquet all of his life, then traveling to Belle Vista, Arkansas and Mercedes, Texas during several winters with his wife, Shirley.
He graduated from Cloquet High School in 1955 and went to work for the City of Cloquet, ending his 30+ career there in 1992 as a firefighter/paramedic. He married his high school sweetheart in 1962, Shirley (Walters). Along with his full-time job, on his days off he and another co-worker did construction for Fuller-Berg Construction.
Harry is survived by his children: Andy (Jackie) Berg, Kris (David Haley) Berg, Jodi (Scott) Patten. Grandchildren: Amber (Dustin) Soukkala, Katie Bloom, A.J. Berg, Derek Bloom, Karson Patten. Matt (Nicole) Moretto and Crystal (Jesse Bryant) Randa. Two - Great Grandchildren Eleanor Moretto and Fallon Bryant. Brother: Morry (Lauren) Berg, Sister in Law - Sheila Wilkinson, Brother in Law - Craig Walters. Numerous nieces and nephews. Great friends from the Family Tradition and Lemon Tree. Special Cousin Ron Berg and Special Friend Steve Kolb.
Family and friends will for sure miss his humor and quick wit, his ability to get in the car and drive and drive and drive to count deer and turkeys. We also want to take this time to apologize to local restaurants in the area that may see a dip in their sales now that he is not going to be taking his family for dinner. He loved to eat.
A celebration of life will be held at the Big Lake Golf Course - 780 Cary Road - Cloquet MN 55720 from noon - 3 on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025. Since this will be almost hunting time and Harry spent years enjoying this time of year, please wear camo or hunting orange, if you have it.
Special thank you goes out to St, Croix Hospice care and Carlton's InterFaith Nursing Home for their wonderful care and compassion during this difficult time.
