In Loving Memory of Kevin C. Young March 15, 1953 – October 19, 2025

On a beautiful autumn day, Kevin C. Young passed peacefully from this life with his wife, Maria, and his brother, Joel, by his side after a courageous battle with MS. Kevin leaves behind his devoted wife of 49 years, Maria; his son Christopher and wife Cindy; and his cherished grandchildren Kaiden and Maya (children of Troy), and Zoie and Kaci (children of Christopher). He is also remembered by many longtime friends who became like family.

He was preceded in death by his son Troy, brother Denny, and his parents, Arthur and Thelma.

Kevin was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and raised in St. Charles, where he attended St. Charles High School and Forest Park Community College. After marrying Maria, the two began their life together in Limon, Colorado, later moving to Widefield, and eventually to a beautiful property in Cañon City—the place Kevin had always dreamed of retiring—before settling in Greeley, Colorado.

Throughout his life, Kevin worked many jobs that reflected his versatility and dedication. He served as a lifeguard, Funeral Director, furniture repairman and delivery driver, school bus driver, and Transportation Director. He also served his community as Youth Baseball Commissioner for the Babe Ruth League, helping shape and support generations of young athletes. Kevin loved the outdoors and spending time with family. He enjoyed camping, tinkering with his tools, and hosting BBQs. He had a strong dislike for chicken, a detail that always brought laughter to those who knew him. Though sometimes gruff on the outside, Kevin had a big, kind heart and showed his love through action—always there when someone needed him most.

Kevin leaves his family and friends with heavy hearts but lasting comfort in the memories, laughter, and love they shared. His family has said their private goodbyes, but his spirit lives on in every story, smile, and moment of kindness he inspired.
