Jodelle Olive Stromberger, 76, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She trusted Jesus as her Lord and Savior from her sins, served Him wholeheartedly and went to be with her Lord on October 23, 2025.  She was born on October 18, 1949, to John James “Jim” and Lillian Olive (Wright) Eckhardt.  Her childhood was spent on her family farm in Kersey, CO.   On June 27, 1969, she married the love of her life, Chris Gene Stromberger.

Jodelle loved working outdoors on the farm helping her dad driving tractors and milking cows.  She graduated from Platte Valley High School in 1967.

Chris and Jodelle lived in Basalt, Yuma, Greeley, Sterling, Salida, Kersey, LaSalle and Fort Morgan.  She made many friends wherever they lived.  She had a radiant joyful smile that she shared generously with all.

She was well known for her incredible cooking skills and ability to provide an amazing many-course meal, even at short notice.  She loved gardening and had a wonderful fruit and vegetable garden.  She made amazing jams and jellies and did a lot of canning. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

After becoming a grandmother, Jodelle began traveling.  She and Chris travelled to Estonia, California and Alaska many times to see their grandkids. She traveled to Poland to help with summer Bible camps for orphans during two different summers.

Jodelle and Chris were long-term members of the Kersey Community Church.  They moved to Fort Morgan and became active members of Grace Bible Church of Brush. Jodelle was also involved with Bible Study Fellowship for many years serving as a group leader there.

Jodelle loved spending time with her family and extended family.  Loving and investing time into her children and grandchildren was her favorite activity.

She is survived by those blessed to have been her family members including: her husband, Chris Stromberger; children, Jill (Gunnar) Magi, Joy (Moses) Estrada, Jenna (Les) Worley; brother, JD Eckhardt, sister, Judy Reeve; grandchildren, Greta (Hayden) Shade, Theo Magi, Gloria (Dillon) Thomas, Eden (Peter) Busse, Lauryn Worley, Malachi (Kaylee) Estrada, Silas Estrada, Lincoln Worley, Zion Estrada; great-grandchildren Estelle and Aric Shade, Gwendolyn and Vincent Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jim and Lillian Eckhardt.

A memorial for Jodelle will be held at Adamson Life Celebrations Home on Friday, October 31, at 11:00am.

Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Bible Church of Brush, c/o Moses Estrada, 20524 Hwy 52, Fort Morgan, CO 80701.
