**Obituary for Gary D. Gainey** It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary D. Gainey, who left this world peacefully on October 26, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 3, 1939, in MacClenney, Florida, Gary was a devoted member of his community and a cherished figure in the lives of those who knew him. Gary lived most of his life in Bradenton, Florida, where he built a successful career as a carpenter. His work was marked by skill and dedication, earning him respect among his peers and clients alike. A kind, honest, and considerate man, Gary had an innate ability to connect with people, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met. He is survived by his brother, Rick (Pat) Gainey, sister, Diane, nephews, Steve and Larry, nieces, Dawn, Kim and Valerie. and his devoted niece, Shirley (Bruce) Varnadore, who cared for him with compassion in his later years and his loving neighbors, Penny and Ken. Gary was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy, and his son, Jeff Gainey, whose memories he cherished deeply. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gary's life on November 3, 2025. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, located at 720 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton, Florida. He will be laid to rest at 1:00 PM in Manasota Memorial Park. In this time of sorrow, may we remember Gary for his unwavering kindness and the light he brought into the lives of many. He will be greatly missed but forever remembered in our hearts.
