Ruth Anne Parker, 88, of National Park, passed away on October 27, 2025.

A beautiful soul, inside and out, Ruth Anne was devoted to her family and to her faith. She adored being with her family and her grandsons kept her young at heart. Ruth Anne was a supportive mother in all the extracurricular activities her children were involved with. When her family joined the Bonsal Blues Military Band, she also joined and became the official water girl for the marching band, following alongside at every parade. After raising her children at home, once they were old enough to care for themselves, Ruth Anne reentered the workforce as a bookkeeper for many years.

Ruth Anne was a very giving and generous person. Her sense of humor was unmatched – she always seemed to get herself into silly situations but always got herself out. She enjoyed Opera music and decorating for holidays. Ruth Anne would decorate down to the envelopes she sent out!

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harry Parker, Sr.; 2 children, Ruth Anne Pawling (John) and Harry Parker, Jr. and her grandson, Michael Pawling. Ruth Anne is also survived by her sister-in-law, JoAnne Parker, her son in laws sister, Linda Pawling and her son that Ruth Anne and her family treated as a bonus grandson, Matthew Pawling, as well as her extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins throughout the United States.

Ruth Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Ruth (Sasse) Rossiter.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 6-8pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. We have served the Woodbury community since 1951, when our founder, James A. McGuinness, opened our first funeral home. He knew the importance of families having a trustworthy, local funeral home to help them memorialize their lost loved ones and navigate grief. Our beautiful funeral home in Woodbury was originally built in the late 1700s, and has since been rebuilt to honor its original charm and comfortable, warm feel. Once you walk through our doors, you become family....
