Arvell Wells
August 22nd, 1939 - October 31st, 2025
Arvell Wells, 86, of Weber City went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Wise, VA to the late David and Gracie Wells. Arvell was a 1961 graduate of Appalachia High School. He worked for Holston Defense for 37 years before his retirement. Arvell was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed college football, NASCAR, and spending time with family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Jones and Patsy Kirby; brothers, Buford and David Wells.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Eleanor Louise Wells; sons, Allen Shane Wells and wife Kristi, Daniel Stuart Wells and wife Ericka; grandchildren, Megan Paige Carder, Brittany McConnell, Kaley Wallace, Ethan Wells, Janzen Wells, Lailah Wells, and Maison Joe Wells; great grandchildren, Braeden Carder, Boone Wallace, and Monroe Wallace; sister, Yvonne Bishop; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Scott County Funeral Home from 6pm to 7pm. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Holston View Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50am.
