Mary Ann Catron
August 4th, 1943 - November 3rd, 2025
Mary Ann Catron, 82, of Kingsport passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Holston manor Rehabilitation and Care Center in Kingsport, TN.
She was born and raised in the Kermit Community of Yuma Road, Gate City, VA, and had been a long-time resident of Kingsport. Mary Ann enjoyed attending church, gospel singing, reading her bible, gardening, and her cats and dogs over the years. She was a lifelong member of Catron’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, Kermit, VA and also a member of Parker’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Kingsport.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Catron and Mary Bruner Catron; brothers, Frank and Michael Catron; sisters, Nell martin, Julia Beuris, Edith Olinger, Lois Cox, Dora Catron, Troy Thacker, Barbara “Bobbie” Williams, and twin sister Carol Lynn who died at birth.
Survivors include her brother, Larry Catron and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A private burial will be conducted at the Pannel-Bruner Cemetery. A memorial service will be conducted at 2pm on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Catron’s Chapel (9387 Yuma Road, Gate City, VA) with Pastor Larry Tolley officiating. The family will receive friends at the Catron’s Chapel Fellowship Hall following the service. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive by 1:50pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to Petworks at 3101 E. Stone Drive Kingsport, TN 37660.
