Gerald Scott Neff
August 13th, 1969 - October 31st, 2025
In Loving Memory
Gerald Scott Neff, 56, of Swansea, South Carolina, passed away October 31, 2025, at his home in Swansea, South Carolina. He was born on August 13, 1969, in Columbia, South Carolina to Gerald and Margaret (Howard) Neff.
In his early years, Scott was a volunteer firefighter for Capitol View Fire Department in Columbia, South Carolina. Scott devoted much of his life to his work as an HVAC technician, where his skill, strong work ethic, and attention to detail shone through. He took great pride in the challenge of troubleshooting and solving problems each day. He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Scott was a proud grandfather and a devoted family man who found his greatest joy in the time he spent with those he loved. Scott was a loyal fan of the University of South Carolina Gamecocks and never missed a chance to cheer them on, win or lose. Scott also had a special love for his Camaro SS — it wasn’t just a car to him, but a reflection of his passion, pride, and the joy he found in life’s simple blessings. Whether he was enjoying a Gamecock game or taking a drive in his Camaro, Scott’s heart was always with his family, sharing laughter, stories, and love along the way.
Scott’s strength, kindness, and steady presence made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and hard work will continue to live on through his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Margaret (Howard) Neff, and his brother Richard Odom. Scott is survived by his devoted wife Mandy Neff, son Andrew Neff, daughter Amanda Paige Neff, and three precious grandchildren Kadence, Oaklynn, and Braylen who he loved deeply. He is also survived by his sister, Tonya (Neff) Walker, and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date.
