Albert Peif Jr. (aka Al or Butch) 73 of Greeley, CO passed away October 29, 2025, after a six-year battle with cancer. He was born October 3, 1952, in Greeley to Albert and Dorothy (Martin) Peif.  He grew up in Greeley and graduated from Greeley Central High School in 1972. Albert mastered skills in plumbing, painting and carpentry until he was able to pursue his dream of being self-employed in the automotive business. His business evolved over 30 years from Al's Auto Center to RPM Performance, to Greeley Drivetrain. His reputation for setting up gears with precision and fabricating parts and tools led to his success.

Albert's outgoing personality, love for Budweiser and his unique outlook on life made him friends everywhere he went. Albert was known for doing things his way or the highway.

He will be remembered for racing his 66 Chevy Nova SS around D block and Greeley Central High School, owning Harley Davidson motorcycles, being a member of the Highway Pacers motorcycle club, along with competing and winning many events with the Rocky Mountain Truck Pullers. His need for speed and competition drove him to build custom engines, transmissions and drivetrain assemblies not only for himself but his customers and friends.

Later in life additional interests included cooking, with his specialties being spicy pork green chili and smoked meats, garage sales where he never left empty-handed, and the Blackhawk casinos, where he was luckier than most!

Albert shared 56 years of his life (53 married) with his high school sweetheart Anne (Campbell) Peif. Albert deeply loved and couldn't have been prouder of his children; Son, Ryan Peif, daughter, Andrea (Peif) Greene, and son-in-law, Kevin Greene. His three grandchildren (Ryker Peif, Lexi Greene & Kase Greene) were the twinkle in his eye and the joy in his heart. He was constantly amazed at their knowledge, wit, artistic and athletic abilities.

In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, Albert is survived by his sisters, Sherrie Peif and Diane Walker. Preceded in death by his parents Albert and Dorothy Peif, and brother-in-law Jim Walker.

In Albert fashion, there will be a party to celebrate his life with black t-shirt attire.

Saturday, November 15th 1-6pm Atlas Theater 709 16th Street Greeley, CO.
