Reymundo Lara, age 65, of Greeley, Colorado, passed away on October 31, 2025. He was born on November 26, 1959, in Haskell, Texas.

Reymundo, lovingly known as Rey, lived a full and joyful life surrounded by love, laughter, and family. He dedicated 47 years of service to the Union Pacific Railroad, a career that took him to many states.

Rey had many hobbies he treasured. He was a true auto mechanic who could work on almost any vehicle, always ready to lend a hand to friends and family in need of a repair. He also loved spending time outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his brothers, his son, nephews, and numerous friends. Those who shared these moments with him will forever cherish the laughter and memories they created together.

Rey is survived by his children, Nathan Lara and Marisa Price, and by his two beautiful grandchildren, James and Drew, whom he loved with all his heart. He is also survived by his brother, Rojelio (Elise) Lara; sister-in-law, Vickie Lara; sister, Maria (Lou) Sanchez; brothers Ricardo (Roxanne) Lara, Roberto (Rachel) Lara, and Henry (Ronica) Lara; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who adored him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gabino and Lucia Lara; his loving wife, LaRue Lara; his brothers, Gabino Lara Jr. and Frank Lara; four nephews, Rojelio Lara Jr., Mikey Lara, Richard Matthew Lara, and Gene Sanchez; and one niece, Annessa Sanchez.

Rey will be remembered for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
