Giselle "Nene" Elizabeth Lobner
April 12th, 1957 - October 29th, 2025
Giselle “Nene” Elizabeth Lobner passed away on October 29, surrounded by her loved ones, after a short but courageous battle with stomach cancer.
Born on April 12, 1957, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, Giselle was the youngest of four children to Harold and Arlene Lobner. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids and soon after proudly served in the Army National Guard. Following her service, she joined her high school sweetheart, Tom Kolo, in Colorado, where they began building a life together.
They first settled in Louisville and welcomed their two children, Jeremy and Ryan, before moving north to Loveland, where Giselle spent the majority of her life. She devoted over 30 years to the Department of Energy, with most of her career spent at Rocky Flats.
Giselle’s faith in Jesus Christ guided every part of her life. She cherished her midweek Bible study group, served faithfully at her church’s food pantry, and found deep joy in living out her faith through service and love for others.
Above all, Giselle’s greatest joy came from being “Nene” to her five grandchildren— Kylie, Brayden, Aubrey, Aryana, and Kaidyn. Whether it was baseball, gymnastics, dance, or any of their many activities, Nene was always there—cheering, encouraging, and supporting each of them with unconditional love.
Giselle is survived by her sons, Jeremy (Brook) and Ryan (Malory); her beloved grandchildren, Kylie, Brayden, Aubrey, Aryana, and Kaidyn; and countless friends and family who will forever remember her faith, kindness, and unwavering love.
A Celebration of Life honoring Giselle will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland, Colorado. All who knew and loved Giselle are invited to come share memories, laughter, and stories as we celebrate her life, faith, and the love she poured into everyone she met. A luncheon will follow at the same location.
John 11:25-26
Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die.
