Mildred “Jean” Singleton, 87, widow of the late Alvin Farris Singleton, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2025. She was born in Mt. Vernon, Kentucky on February 19, 1938 to the late William & Hazel Mink Machal. Jean was a longtime member of Lexington Primitive Baptist Church and had worked in sales for Sears before retirement.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Darrin Singleton, his wife Sharon Ulm-Singleton, grandchildren Benjamin William and Morgan Hope Singleton, all of New Jersey; her siblings - two sisters Minnie Jane Machal and Barbra Strickland along with brothers, William (Bill), and Melvin Machal.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A private family graveside will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Following the graveside,
a memorial repass will be held for all friends and family attending the services at: Lexington Primitive Baptist Church 4574 Old Schoolhouse Road Lexington, KY 40512
