Vernon Richard Wamsganz left this earth on November 6, 2025, after a short but difficult bout with cancer. He was preceded in his journey to eternity by two of his 23 grandchildren (Amber Burakowski and Nicholas DiLorenzo).
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Diane, and all nine of his children: Mindy, Te, Kay, Suzi, Eric, Dan, Julie, Ann and Michael. It was a great gift that his family was able to visit with him in his last days.
Vernon was a man of many interests which included bowling, golf, bridge, model railroading, and many other things but his most cherished was photography. His images won many awards of which he was very proud. His leadership skills led him to the presidency of several camera clubs and our local bridge club. But despite all these interests and accomplishments his true “love language” was cooking.
The world was a better place with him in it, and he will be sorely missed by friends and family.
