Linda Tarver Ellsworth, age 77, of Columbia, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 4, 2025.

She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a cherished friend to many. Linda enjoyed a distinguished 34-year career as a flight attendant with Delta Air Lines, where she was known for her sense of humor, hospitality, and caring nature. Her work allowed her to pursue her love of travel, make lifelong friends, and see much of the world. She always loved sharing her worldly treasures with those around her.

Linda was thoughtful, kind-hearted, and selfless. She had a sharp sense of humor and a spark that always brightened the lives of her family, friends, and colleagues. She was candid, full of life, and a force to be reckoned with, all qualities that made her deeply loved and impossible to forget.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jack Ellsworth; her children, Corey Ellsworth (Anna) and Caroline “Carrie” Ellsworth; her nephew, Sperry “Skip” Jumper; and her niece, Cheryl Davis. In addition, many other family members, friends, and colleagues who were touched by her love and kindness will mourn her loss.

A private graveside service will be held on November 21, 2025, followed by a Celebration of Life. Friends are invited to drop in, share food, and exchange fond memories of Linda from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Hunter-Gatherer Brewery (Hangar), 1402 Jim Hamilton Blvd., Columbia, South Carolina, 29205.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Linda’s honor may be made to the MUSC Foundation to support local Alzheimer’s and Dementia research
