Edith “Edie” Dotson Maness, 92, daughter of James E. and Sadie Dotson was born in and resided in Pike County through 2016 when she moved to Nicholasville, Kentucky to be near family. Edie passed away November 13th at Central Baptist Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Pikeville continuing to connect through remote services. A graduate of Phelps High School, she attended Pikeville College. After retiring from an administrative position at the Appalachian Regional Hospitals Central Office, she held several financial bookkeeping positions. Edie was a master at working word puzzles, an avid UK Basketball fan, and interior design.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Geraldine “Gerry” Chambers, Alma “Jo” Warren, beloved husband of 28 years, Jerry D. Maness, daughter, Sherri Maness, and second husband, Fuzzy Keezee. She is survived by brother Doug Dotson, sister Bonnie Johnson, daughters Belinda Smith (Ollie) and Ladonna Austin, grandchildren Madison, McKinzie, and Mason Smith, Russel Austin, Kim Austin McMullen and numerous great grandchildren.
Her service will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Pikeville Annie E. Young Cemetery mausoleum chapel with Dr. Shawn Dobbins officiating. Entombment to follow at the mausoleum.
Arrangements are entrusted to Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing, Nicholasville, Kentucky.
