Diuguid Funeral Services & Crematory - Timberlake
Charlotte U. Robinson
April 19th, 1927 - November 10th, 2025
Born April 19, 1927, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 10, 2025. Born to William and Nellie Umbel, she grew up on a farm in Uniontown, PA. She married the love of her life, Bill, on Christmas Eve, 1946, and together they had a family of 3 daughters, Barbara Robinson Powell, Anita Robinson Bryant and Charlotte Robinson Gilbert (Earl), 5 grandchildren, Elizabeth Priester (Jay), Rachel Cook, John Powell (Tammy), Andrew Gilbert (Hayley), and Joseph Gilbert, 7 great grandchildren, Dillon Priester (Amber), John Thomas Priester, Chloe Cook, Landyn Cook, Baylee Powell, Avery Gilbert, Quinn Gilbert and great great granddaughter, Julia Claire Priester.
Her life’s mission was to be kind to everyone, and she fulfilled that mission. She was child of God and lived a faithful life, always putting others before herself. She volunteered at her church, the hospital, the public library, was President of the Women’s Club, was a member of the Garden Club and Welcome Wagon, as well as other organizations. She always made herself available for her family and friends. Most notably, taking her friends to doctor visits, chemotherapy and radiation treatments, etc. Everyone that knew her, loved her. She was a bright light on the darkest of days.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, son-in-law, Tom Powell, son-in-law, Rodney Bryant, her parents and all siblings, nieces and nephews. There were many to greet her at the Kingdom of Heaven.
The family wishes to gratefully acknowledge the professional, yet loving, care of our mother by Centra Hospice of Lynchburg, VA, in the last week of her life. In addition, we would also like to thank Phillips Chapel Church in Haw River, NC, for their constant love, prayers, cards and gifts for the past few years. They considered her one of their own.
Funeral services will be held at Monday, November 17, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Diuguid Funeral Service & Crematory-Waterlick Chapel, 21914 Timberlake Rd. Lynchburg, VA 24502 (434) 237-2722.
