Mrs. Margie Marie Aversa, age 83, a resident of Polk City, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Mrs. Aversa was born April 18, 1942, in Freeland, Maryland to James Thomas and Bernice Viola (Cooper) Weaver. She was a resident of Polk City for 43 years, coming from West Virginia. She was an English Bulldog Breeder for over 40 years. She was a member of the American Kennel Club. Margie enjoyed yardwork, taking care of animals, showing her English bulldogs and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years – George Frank Aversa (2019); 3 brothers – Albert, Lewis & Ernest and 5 sisters – Lucille, May, Nina, Evelyn & Toby. Margie is survived by 2 sons – Jason (Priscella) Aversa & Steve (Patty) Aversa; 1 daughter – Deneen Crutcher; 1 brother – John (Judy) Weaver; 5 grandchildren – Stevie, Ericka, Brian, William & Amber and 8 great grandchildren. There are no services scheduled for Margie at this time.
