Michael Jospeh Pettelle Jr., 55 (“Mikey”), of Auburn, WA, passed away on November 13, 2025.

Born on March 27th, 1970 in Washington State to Michaelle J Pettelle Sr. and Carol Kathy Smith

After earning his GED, Mikey followed his own path-traveling to Oregon to join the Job Corps, then spending a few years in California before eventually returning home to Washington. It was there he reunited with long-time friend Dawn Ray, and together they shared the last years of his life.

Though Mikey had no children of his own, he loved his nieces, nephews-and every child who entered his life-as if they were his own, including two very special children who called him Grandpa, Laina and Jaxon Hale. His heart was wide open and kids were naturally drawn to his gentle spirit, his patience, and his playful sense of humor.

Mikey had a gift for working with his hands. He was passionate about wood working, specially creating lamps. His love for music was woven deeply into who he was.

Mikey was predeceased by his father Michael J Pettelle, mother Carol Kathy Smith, and his sister Tara L Smoot. He is survived by his brother Matthew PettElle and sisters Courtney Antram and Tobi Robertson.

Mikey will be remembered for the way he loved-with loyalty, generosity, and a heart that never stopped giving.  His time here was far shorter than any of us could have imagined, but the memories he leaves behind will always be remembered.  He will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
