Winelda Stephens Hall, 98, of Lynchburg, passed away on November 14, 2025, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Thomas, “Tommy” Hall. Jr.
Born March 25, 1927, i Freya n Syracuse, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Merlyn Fowler Stephens (M.D. and D.O.) and Gertrude Howell Stephens. She was also preceded in death by a son, Lamar Stephens. She was a member of Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Wayne Hall and his wife, Nancy, of Forest, VA and Stephen Thomas Hall and his wife, Jamuat of Reston, VA; two grandchildren, Jason Sadhana Grechanik and his wife, Sofia; Teema and her husband Devan Williams; two great grandchildren, Nikita Grechanik and Freya Williams.
A graveside service will be held Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in Spring Hill Cemetery by Pastor Anghaarad Teague Dees. A memorial service will follow at Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church at 12 noon with a reception to follow at the church. Family and friends are invited to attend the service and reception.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Quaker Memorial Presbyterian Church, Lynchburg Humane Society or a charity of your choice
