Richard Anthony Skinner

Richard Anthony Skinner, 86, of Albuquerque NM, passed away on SundayOctober 5, 2025.  He was born April 22, 1939, in Albuquerque, NM toAlice Mary Verala and William Leonar Skinner.

Richard was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son.He married his wife Frances Ellen Gorden in 1957 when Richard wouldstart a long career in the United States Air Force.  After retiringfrom 20 years with the Air Force, Richard would continue to work andeventually retired from Sandia National Laboratories where he focusedon support for special defense projects.Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Frances on July 10, 2023,daughter Catherine Ann Gorden on March 31, 2023, and son Craig DanielSkinner on June 14, 2011.Richard is survived by two sons, Charles "Chuck" Skinner (wifeShannon) and Christopher Skinner (wife Debbie), four grandchildren,Nicholas, Derek, Cory, and Michelle Skinner, and numerous greatgrandchildren as well as nieces and nephews.  He is also survived bytwo sisters, Alice Sonne, and Marilyn Bates.Richard and Fran shared a love for adventure and embraced the outdoorsthrough traveling, camping, and fishing. They also enjoyed sharing life with

their pet dogs over the years and have preceded in death

their most recent canine companion Kayla.Richard was always full of jokes, many of them wildly inappropriate,but that was what made them even funnier. Unapologetically himself,mischievous, stubborn, and always ready to make people laugh.
