Monika Kowalewski Anshus Camlin of Columbia, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2025 at the Hospice House in Lexington, South Carolina. She was 80 years old.

Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Maria Anna Stocker Kowalewski and John Peter Kowalewski. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter Kowalewski, husband, Stanley L. Anshus, husband, William R. Camlin, and her beloved cats, Bonnie and Clyde.

Monika was a 1963 graduate of Dentsville High School and went on to work at Dun and Bradstreet for many years. After her retirement, she opened up her own business installing wallpaper. She was affectionately known as “The Wallpaper Lady” and worked until her health declined.

She is survived by her daughter, Jenny Anshus Bowers and husband, Patrick of Little Mountain. Grandchildren- Aly, Chandler, and Brayden Bowers.

A committal service will be held at Ft Jackson National Cemetery on December 4, 2025.
