Nita Virginia Singleton Allred entered into rest on November 17, 2025.Born March 29,1935 in Moultrie, Ga. Nita and her family moved to Auburndale, Fl. when she was a young girl. Nita considered herself  an outdoor woodsy person. While growing up in Auburndale Nita participated in gymnastics,basketball,and softball. When Nita got older her dad taught her how to hunt and fish. At the age of 25 Nita met James V. Allred, the two were married on December 31,1960.

 

Nita was the mother of one daughter and one son. A graduate of Auburndale High School and furthered her education with a 2-year degree in accounting after she and her husband moved to Albany, Ga. She worked in the local bank as a teller and assistant manager. After several years pasted Nita and her husband moved to Seffner,Fl.where she worked at Aberdeen Prep School as their office manager and substitute teacher.

 

Nita had numerous hobbies, she loved,hunting,fishing,camping,gardening,cooking, painting,coloring,and word search.

 

Nita was a member at Mango Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, volunteered at the clothes closet and cafe. She loved helping people, that was her passion. She loved the Lord and wanted to be a great servant unto God.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, James V.Allred; her stepdaughter Suzanne Borkowski; her daughter Julie Allred; Her parents, James and Louise Singleton

She is survived by one son, James V. Allred II (Brenda); one stepson in law, James Borkowski; two granddaughters Ashly Marcucci (Anthony) Chancey Allred (Trevor); three step granddaughters. Caitlin Borkowski, Megan Cavanah (Corey), Natalie Borkowski; one step grandson Will Borkowski(Suzanne)three great grandchildren, Chase and Dakota Marcucci , James Cavanah ; one brother in law , Raymond Allred : and many nieces and nephews she adored. Nita had 2 very special friends , Ms Jackie Freeman and Sharon Carter 

 

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org

Visitation : Tuesday, November 25,2025, from 10:00am-11:00am

Funeral Service: 11:00am-12:00pm

 

At Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive,Auburndale,Fl. 33823

 

Burial will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park Cemetery
