Hawa (Ava) Kline: A Life Honored Hawa Kline (Ava) A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend passed away on November 16, 2025, surrounded by her family and close friends. Though her passing was unexpected and a huge loss to all who loved her, we are comforted in knowing she is with our Savior in Heaven. --- Ava lived the American Dream She immigrated to the United States in 1961 from Tripoli, Lebanon. She began working upon her arrival in Detroit, Michigan. She worked as an administrator for Grand Trunk Railroad and then decided to buy State Fair Dairy bar, an Ice cream store in Detroit. She moved to Arizona in 1980, as the office manager of Mel Nick Outerwear, to be closer to her sister Leila, and finished her career as an entrepreneur owning a promotional item company, Blue Sky Promotions. ------- She Loved Fiercely   Ava had immense love for her family. She was a single mother that raised her children in the most loving household. Her home was home not only to her children, but also all their friends. There wasn't a weekend that went buy that didn't have a house full teenagers. If we thought Ava couldn't love harder we were wrong. Her grandchildren were the Apple of her eye as she called them. She suffered with pain for years, but she always found a way to smile when her grandchildren came to visit.    --- Lebanese Cuisine   Ava loved to cook Lebanese food. When friends mention her it's hard not to have a conversation about her Hummus. If she was invited to a party, she was sure to have a tray of hummus with her as she walked in the door. Cooking for others was a love language for her. If she had 10 people at her house, she cooked for 20. It brought her such joy to cook for everyone. --- Family Ava leaves behind John, her devoted husband and steadfast partner of 30 years. She is survived by her loving son Daniel Sawaya(Selma Sawaya), daughter Leila Demian (Jordan Demian), Step Children- Kristin Hennon (Scott Hennon), and Michael Kline. Her Precious Grandchildren, Samuel, Sydney, Azalea, Levi, and Mia.  --- Legacy   Ava lived a life of love. She didn't have to talk about it, she lived it. She passed down her legacy through her children and grandchildren. All who knew her, experienced her love. She was the rock of our family.   Flowers can be sent to Adair Funeral home on Dodge. Services are Tuesday November 25th at 11am at St. Thomas the Apostle with burial following at Holy Hope Cemetery. Food to follow at the home of Daniel Sawaya.
