Dr. Harry White Scott, Sr., 88, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025. Born in Greenville, North Carolina, he devoted his life to family, medicine, and quiet acts of kindness—always accompanied by his unmistakable dry sense of humor.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina, Harry completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees in Chapel Hill, followed by an internship at the University of Tennessee Knoxville and a dermatology residency at Emory University. He later opened his dermatology practice in Raleigh, NC, where he cared for patients with compassion and dedication for many years.

Harry married Margaret Ruffin of Greenville, NC, and together they built a life grounded in love and family. Upon retirement, they settled on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, where they enjoyed many peaceful years together.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his son, Ruffin; and his daughter-in-law, Lori. He was preceded in death by his son Harry White Scott, Jr.; his brother Walter Glenn Scott, Jr.; and his sister Florence Scott McGlohon.
