Pat Madden passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, in Washington State at the age of 84.  Born on July 24, 1941, in Michigan, Pat was one of six siblings (Jewel, Toppy, Pam, David, and Kelly) and grew up surrounded by the lively energy of her big family.

In 1973, Pat married John Charles Madden, and they built a life filled with hard work, cooking food in big batches and gardening.  Pat spent her career at Northwestern Glass, where she and John both worked. As a scheduling supervisor, she excelled at keeping things moving smoothly, applying her sharp organizational skills and steady problem-solving abilities every day.

At home, Pat found joy in the simple pleasures that made her life rich: sewing, canning and cooking, tending to her garden, and filling her home with thriving houseplants. She cherished quiet moments doing puzzles and reading romance novels, and she never missed her favorite TV blend of MSNBC and the Hallmark Channel — a pairing she proudly enjoyed with equal enthusiasm.  Pat and John created many memories in their home in Burien, sharing 41 years together until John’s passing in 2014.

Pat is survived by her son John Lee Madden and daughter-in-law Jodi Madden, her two grandchildren John Christopher and Kate, a sister-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and a number of very dear friends and neighbors.  She will be remembered for her sharp wit and the many ways she cared for those around her. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created.
