Tennille Arlene Cox, 48, of Kuna, Idaho, passed away peacefully at home on November 26, 2025, surrounded by her husband and children after a brief but courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma.
Tennille was born on July 5, 1977, in Riverside, California, to David and Pamela Garcia, who survive her. She grew up in Riverside alongside her sister, Vannessa, and graduated from La Sierra High School before attending Riverside Community College.
On November 22, 2008, Tennille married the love of her life, Charles Cox, and together they built a devoted partnership that spanned 17 years of marriage and 37 years of friendship. Tennille was a fiercely loving and attentive mother to their daughters, Abigail and Amelia, both of Kuna, who were—and will forever remain—the greatest joys of her life.
Over the years, Tennille dedicated herself to many forms of service. She spent roughly fifteen years as a compassionate care provider for mentally disabled women, and later became a small business owner, operating Social Insight Media Services. She served as the Chairwoman of We Remember: A Night for Veterans, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting homeless veterans in the Inland Empire. After moving to Idaho in 2021, she continued her lifelong commitment to community service through her active participation in the Kuna Seventh-day Adventist Church, where she contributed to outreach efforts, volunteered at events, and helped organize large community gatherings—including a Christmas cookies drive that brought in thousands of treats. The church has chosen to continue the tradition in her honor this year.
Tennille was, at heart, an introvert—quiet, thoughtful, and selective about the people she brought into her inner circle—but once she welcomed someone in, her loyalty was absolute. She was known for her extraordinary kindness, her frugal and practical spirit, her creative, personal gift-giving, and her ability to show up at exactly the right moment for those she cared about. Her closest friends, both here in Idaho and in California, were truly her chosen family.
She loved lilies—especially stargazers—and treasured simple moments spent with the people she loved most. Tennille’s strength, humor, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family will forever remain part of the lives she touched.
Tennille is survived by her husband, Charles; her daughters, Abigail and Amelia; her parents, David and Pamela Garcia; her sister, Vannessa Ball; and a community of family and dear friends who deeply miss her.
A funeral service for Tennille will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Summers Funeral Home, 3629 E Ustick Rd, Meridian, ID.
For those wishing to send flowers, please send stargazer lilies. Those wishing to directly support the family may visit the GoFundMe organized by Brandon and Trinette Harding to assist with Abigail and Amelia’s future educational needs.
Tennille finished her race with faith, grace, and courage. Her family is eternally grateful for every moment shared with her and for the outpouring of support shown during her final weeks.
