Suzanne Dawn Miller Hunt, age 92, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughter, Loreen Dawn Kaser, and step-daughter, Theresa Hunt, both of Bradenton. Born on March 30, 1933 in Jeromesville, Ohio, to the late Muriel Dawn Harper Miller and Roland Andrew Miller, Suzanne was a source of love and strength.

Suzanne's life was a vibrant thread in the rich tapestry of American history. Her lineage runs deep, predominantly English and Scots-Irish, tracing directly back to many early Puritan settlers, including her eleventh great-grandaunt and uncle, Mayflower passengers Katherine White Carver and John Carver, the Plymouth Colony’s first governor and author of the Mayflower Compact. This pioneering spirit continued through generations, notably with her numerous ancestors who were among the Ohio Western Reserve’s pioneers, establishing communities and shaping the landscape of the Midwest. She shared ancestry with many U.S. presidents, including James A. Garfield, prominent son of Ohio’s Western Reserve and namesake of the school district her children attended. She carried the resilience, faith, and hard work of her heritage with grace and pride throughout her remarkable 92 years.

Suzanne graduated from Ravenna High School, Ravenna, Ohio, in 1951, in the same school district where her mother taught the fifth grade for many years, and in the same city where her Miller forebears had lived for about the previous 100 years. She first married in 1953 to Garrettsville, Ohio, resident Gerald Kaser, with whom she had six children.  She married, secondly, to Roy Hunt, in 1974. She held a variety of managerial positions in Northeast Ohio, including as an administrator with the Hattie Larlham  Center for Children with Disabilities in Mantua, Ohio. In 1979, Suzanne and Roy Hunt moved to Bradenton, Florida, where they built a life filled with family, travel, and mutual career advancement. Suzanne soon joined the administrative staff at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton and retired from there in 1995.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Roy Hunt, with whom she shared 51 years of marriage; her children, Jeffrey Kaser, Chicago, Illinois; Stephen Kaser (Beverly), Lordstown, Ohio; Loreen Kaser, Bradenton, Florida; Ronald Kaser, Sarasota, Florida; and Russell Kaser, Carmi, Illinois; grandchildren, Kevin Kaser, Lordstown, Ohio and Sheryl Kaser Mayfield (Matt), Jasper, Georgia; and great-grandchildren, Emily, Marissa, and Amelia Mayfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her oldest child, Gregory Kaser, in 2017, and Gregory’s wife, Linda Pelton Kaser, in 2025.  Private services have been held and funeral services handled by the Griffith-Cline Funeral Home in Bradenton, Florida.
