Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr., age 43, of Arvada, Colorado passed on November 22, 2025.

Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. was born May 26,1982 in Denver, Colorado, the son of Benjamin Ernest Romero, Sr. and Elsa Ramirez-Romero.

 

Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. graduated from Bear Creek High School, Lakewood, Colorado in2000, then went to Technical College Institute, earning an Associate Degree in Drafting and Design. He was always eager to pursue his passion for history and political science. He enrolled at Metropolitan State College of Denver earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Political Science in 2009.

 

Upon graduation, he held various positions in the drafting and design industries in Florida and Colorado. Most recently, Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. worked as a BIM Project Manager at Denver International Airport where he was responsible for coordinating asset management, digital facilities and infrastructure.

 

Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. especially enjoyed photography and collecting vintage and modern cameras. He had an exceptional and creative eye for capturing spontaneity, movement, color, and emotion in his compositions. His favorite subjects were his beloved children/family, social events, and the natural beauty of Colorado, Puerto Rico and other travel destinations.

 

He enjoyed attending concerts, listening to music and acquiring vinyl albums. He amassed an eclectic musical library, kept in alphabetical order by artists, totaling over 500 albums spanning a wide range of genres including blues, rhythm and blues, hardcore, reggae, soul, metal, punk, rock, jazz, hip-hop and Latin music. One of his last concerts he attended with his beloved mother was the Hermanos Gutierrez in Chautauqua Auditorium, Boulder.

 

In addition, Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. was a passionate soccer enthusiast regularly attending soccer games and proudly wearing the jersey of his favorite team, Manchester City FC. 

 

But most of all, he loved introducing his children to new adventures and experiences in nature walks, science, culture, art and educational activities.

 

Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. is survived by his former wife Angela L. Romero and their children, Oscar Louis Romero and Stella Blu Romero; daughter, Forrest M. Romero, and her mother Heather K. Bruce; parents, Benjamin Ernest Romero, Sr. and Elsa Ramirez-Romero; uncles/aunts Tony Romero (Darlene Romero), Vernon C. Johnson, and Nelson Ramirez; cousins, Tony Romero, Jr. (Laura Romero), Vernon Johnson, Jr., Nelson M. Ramirez (Brittani Ramirez), and Emily E. Miller-Ramirez (Jared E. Miller).

 

Preceding Benjamin Ernest Romero, Jr. in death are grandparents, Ben Johnson (Emily Johnson) and Miguel L. Ramirez (Benedicta Ramirez); Uncle Joseph G. Turpin (Turpy); and cousins, Timothy Romero and Christopher B. Johnson.

 

Visitation and Memorial services will be held December 10, at 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home & Cremations, 4750 Tejon Street, Denver, Colorado, with Nelson Ramirez officiating and Special Blend Quartet, musical accompaniment.
