Christine Joy “Lady” Melton, 62, of Winter Haven Florida, passed away on December 4, 2025. Born on February 13, 1963, Wyandotte, Michigan, Christine carried a radiant spark that lit every path she walked. She was the daughter of Sharon Kay and Farrell Rench. Her heart belonged to her family devoted mother to Gary Rench, Angela, Roger, and Justin Melton. She also held close the memory of her beloved husband Gary Melton and her beloved son John Walker. Christine’s love flowed through generations. Her grandchildren- Shaylynn, Peyton, Aliyah, Anastasia, Jacob, Blayton, Zachary, Angel, Saul, Angelica, Azariah, Alizae, Dalton, Cassie, Chloe, Brighten, and Seth were her joy and legacy. She shared lasting bonds with her siblings Farrell Rench, Brenda Lynn and Connie Rench. Her nieces and nephews, Jessica Jackson, Crystal Glowacki, Summer Rench, Ronnie Joe Newsome, Micheal Morningstar, Marcus Morningstar, Joey Gregory, and Jesse Rench. She shared a lasting friendship with her daughter in law Maria Julia Miranda who gave her nickname ‘Lady’ and her friend Tonya. Her would danced to the rhythm of life. Whether riding motorcycles or laughing atop fairground roller coaster, Christine embraced adventure with open arms. Music stirred her deeply she found joy in karaoke nights and live concerts and her love of dancing carried her across countless dance floors. The holidays glowed brighter in her presence: Christmas lights twinkled alongside handmade baskets filled with care; fireworks painted summer skies during cherished Fourth of July celebrations. Her baking brought sweetness not only in flavor but in feeling a warm embrace wrapped in sugar and spice. Creative at heart and generous by nature, Christine poured love into every craft she made. Shopping trips sparked delight; quite waters offered her peace. Above all else was her unwavering devotion to family, reflected in the words of “A Mother’s Prayer,” her favorite. A celebration of life was held in Winter Haven on December 9th to honor her beautiful journey. May Christine’s light continue to shimmer in the memories of all who loved her.
