Mary Grace Hannigan of Stony Point passed away at home on Sunday, December 7th from a long illness. She was 71 years old. Mary Grace was born in Suffern, NY on July 15th, 1954, to Marie and Tommy Alsdorf. Mary Grace worked for years on the clerical staff in Letchworth Village and retired in 2009. In recent years, she worked as Hostess at Hogan’s Nyack Diner and is remembered by her customers for her warm greetings and cheerful smile. She loved and was loved by her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary Grace is survived by her children Jessie and Danny. Her grandchildren Jeremy, Chloe, Madison and Gavin. Her sister Kathy Alsdorf of Pomona, brother Skip Alsdorf of Cortlandt Manor and her sister-in-law Carol Michella of South Carolina. She was predeceased by her brother, Timothy Alsdorf.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. A graveside will be held on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, 11am at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
