Thomas Harold Risher Sr.

April 22, 1942 – December 4, 2025

Thomas Harold Risher, Sr, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones December 4, 2025, at the age of 83 after a brief illness.

He was born on April 22, 1942, in Union, SC to Harold Boyd and Margaret McNeill Risher and grew up in Clemson, SC. He attended Clemson University and graduated in 1964 earning a B.S. degree in Industrial Management. Upon graduation he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Army Reserves in Ft Sill, OK and El Paso, TX before moving to Raeford, NC and going to work at Burlington Industries. His 45-year career as a stockbroker began in 1974 with E.F. Hutton in Columbia, SC and in turn led him to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1980 where he eventually retired from Wells Fargo Advisors in 2019. He served on numerous boards over the years and was a member of St. Andrews By-The-Sea Methodist Church in Hilton Head Island, SC.

Mr. Risher was preceded in death by his parents and was an only child. He leaves behind his wife, Dianne, of Hilton Head Island, SC; son Thomas Harold Risher Jr. (Jennifer) of Hilton Head Island, SC; daughter Ashley Risher Hahn (Michael) of Bluffton, SC; and five grandchildren Brooks, Merritt, and Caroline Risher and Warner and Ava Hahn.

The family wishes to acknowledge and thank his caregivers Aundrea Brown, Doris Terry, and Dedra Fields for their compassionate and loving care.

A Celebration of Life will take place on December 20, 2025, from 1:00-3:00 pm at Venue 1223 located at 1223 May River Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910
