Robert “Bob” Edward Hollowell, 87, of Parker, Colorado, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, in the home he built with his own hands, surrounded by the family who loved him beyond measure. Bob was born on August 30, 1938, in Denver, Colorado, to Paul and Bertha Hollowell. He grew up in Colorado with his three sisters—Pauline, Thelma, and Florine—who filled his childhood with teasing, laughter, and the kind of stories that get retold at family gatherings for decades. Even as a boy, Bob had a quiet steadiness about him, paired with just enough orneriness to keep things interesting. He graduated from Douglas County High School in Castle Rock in 1956. There he wrestled, worked hard, and—depending on who you ask—got into more than a little harmless trouble with his best friend, Don Dunham. Those were the days of fast cars, open fields, and the kind of small-town friendships that stick to a person for life.Shortly after high school, Bob joined the U.S. Navy, proudly serving four years. He carried that sense of service and discipline with him throughout his life, though he was never one to boast about it. Everything changed for the better on November 24, 1963, when Bob married the love of his life, Annette Cyriacks, in Gothenburg, Nebraska. From that day forward, Bob and Annette were a team—true partners in every sense. In 1977, they began building the home they had dreamed of, doing much of the work themselves. They moved in later that year, and over time that house became more than just walls and a roof; it became the heartbeat of their family, a place where memories stacked up like lumber and love settled into every room. Bob had a natural way with animals and spent countless peaceful hours riding his horses across the land he cherished. But if you really wanted to see his eyes light up, mention his antique tractors. Restoring them, tinkering with them, polishing them, pulling them—those old machines brought him pure joy. He knew every sound they made, every bolt, every stubborn part that needed just a bit more coaxing. Above all else, Bob’s greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Annette; his son, Randy; his daughter, Denise; and his grandchildren, Dylan Hollowell, Reece Hollowell, and Kamryn Rowan—each of whom held a special place in his heart. The family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to Tunnel to Towers or Joy Lutheran Church, two organizations close to his heart.
