Carol Ann McCune, 73, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at her home on Hilton Head, where she had lived since 1992. Born on June 20, 1952, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Carol was the beloved daughter of Ed and Helen Uhrin and cherished sister to Eddie, Ray, and Mary Sue.

Carol was married to the love of her life, Jack McCune, on April 26, 1974. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and family. Jack’s dedication and devotion were a constant source of strength and joy throughout their 51 years of marriage.

A proud graduate of Divine Redeemer, an all-girls Catholic school, Carol carried her faith and values throughout her life. She was deeply devoted to her family and found her greatest joy in being a wife, mother, and grandmother.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Jack; her children JC and his wife Beth, Brienne and her husband David, and Shannon; and her cherished grandchildren Chloe, Keely, Lacey, David, and Zack, who brought endless happiness to her life.

Carol had a lifelong love of animals and always shared her home with dogs, sometimes as many as four at once—and a great variety of other pets. She spent countless hours walking with her four-legged companions, enjoying the outdoors and chatting with neighbors along the way. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone she met.

She also found great joy in sharing home-cooked meals with friends, family, and neighbors. Her home was always open, especially during the holidays, when she welcomed as many as would join her table. These gatherings were filled with laughter, love, and the spirit of togetherness that Carol cherished.

Carol will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and her love for all creatures great and small. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.
