Edward Wagner spent his life in pursuit of truth. A devoted Christian and natural philosopher, he possessed an insatiable mind—drawn to questions of meaning, of purpose, of what endures. He delighted in conversation with people from all walks of life and was never satisfied with convenient answers. To know my father was to be invited into a discourse on life's greatest questions.

His faith was the bedrock of his existence. He came to Christ as a young man, and that decision shaped everything that followed. He loved old churches and powerful hymns—but more than anything, he loved time alone with Scripture. He read his Bible often, each time entering a quiet communion with God.

On November 26, 2025, at the age of 66, Edward departed peacefully in his sleep. His bedside table held his reading glasses, Harper Study Bible, and the United States Constitution.

Edward was born on May 19, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, to James Walter Wagner and Donna Louise Wagner. As a young man, he answered his country's call, serving four years in the United States Air Force as a Command-and-Control Specialist, attaining the rank of Sergeant. The discipline and commitment to excellence he developed in service never left him. He carried that same standard into a 35-year career with the United States Postal Service, where he performed many roles—but his favorite was helping people find lost parcels.

Edward had an amazing sense of humor and a contagious laugh. He was effusive and open, never one to dim his light. He let it shine freely, and people were drawn to him because of it. He gave generously of his time and resources, volunteering and supporting the causes he believed in. He was always there for others, always willing to lend a hand. Your successes were his successes.

Edward is survived by his son, Aaron Wagner; his daughter, Melissa Wagner; his grandchildren, Gabriella Garza and Esabella Garza; his sister, Debbie McGee; and his brothers, Joseph Wagner and Andrew Wagner.

He has finished the race. He kept his faith. Those who loved him take comfort in knowing he now rests in the arms of his Savior—his questions answered.
