Joyce Johnson, 84, of McLeansville passed away on December 11, 2025 under the care of Ashton Place Nursing and Rehab. Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Carl H. Horton and Virginia (Waldo) Crowder.
Joyce is survived by her children, Jennifer Johnson (Bob), John Johnson (Traci), and Julie Houck (Andy); her grandchildren, Allison Houck, Sara Johnson, Matthew Johnson, and Samuel Houck; her siblings, Virginia Ball, Howell Horton, Sr., and Frances Ladd; and her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, George Crowder and Jimmy Crowder; and her siblings-in-laws, Charles Ball and Jacqueline Horton.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the mausoleum at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405 on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 2:00PM with Pastor Josh Gresham officiating.
