Richard Dale McClure
Born August 27, 1957, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Tommy and Janette McClure, Richard “Rich” McClure lived a life full of love, loyalty, and adventure. His family eventually settled in Antioch, California, where Rich and his siblings, Glendol and Curtis, attended school. A gifted athlete, Rich excelled in both football and baseball during high school, earning multiple scholarship offers. Following his passion for baseball, he became a minor league pitcher for the Quad City Cubs in 1979.
In 1996, Rich moved to Grass Valley to raise his family with his then-wife, Michelle. He is survived by his four children—Cody (Breana), Casey (Taylor), Colton, and Conner (Rylie)—who were the pride and joy of his life.
Rich was not only a devoted father but also a skilled tradesman. In 1991, he founded R&B Electric, a family business built on hard work and integrity. He shared his knowledge generously, teaching many the craft he loved. Three of his children joined him in the business, and they will continue his legacy with the same dedication he instilled.
Rich’s greatest happiness came from his seven grandchildren: Levi (7), Chance (7), Charlotte (5), Dillon (5), Hazel (5), Harper (3), and Everlee (3). He made sure each had a bike so they could join him on his famous rides. When he wasn’t biking with them, he was tossing baseballs and playing catch—passing on his love for the game.
Those who knew Rich knew he was truly one of a kind—loyal, kindhearted, and always ready to lend a hand. He was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend. His unwavering support for his children and his lessons about hard work and family will live on in all who loved him. Rich touched countless lives and left an indelible mark on everyone he met.
On November 3, Rich peacefully joined his parents in Heaven, surrounded by his children. His family will honor his memory by laying him to rest beside his parents in Arkansas, celebrating a well-lived life and a love that endures.
