Carmen Grecia Rodriguez de Garcia, affectionately known as Grace Garcia throughout her life, was a beloved mother to six children (Ysabel Amalia, Lowenski Miguel, Grecia Maria, Celia Jennie, Madeline, and Luis Manuel), daughter and sons- in-law, (Vicki Rodriguez de Garcia, Paul Ivy and Charles St.John Carver), adored grandmother of five grandchildren (Ambar Casals Garcia, Pedro Manuel Casals Garcia, John Paul Ivy, Rafael Antonio Garcia and Grecia Raquel Garcia), and blessed grandmother to four great grandchildren, (Abril Ysabel Ureña Casals, Laia Ureña Casals, Pedro Manuel Casals Soto, and Dominick Dante Lucci Ivy). Carmen Grecia was born in La Romana, Dominican Republic on October 27, 1928, at the height of the great depression. Grace was a wonderful and colorful recounter of historical events and a dedicated mother, who was extremely proud of her children. She always said that her children were the reason and her mission in her life; her pride and joy. Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Lowenski Antonio Garcia Rosario, MD, an anesthesiologist, on April 25, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her son, Lowenski Miguel Garcia Rodriguez, on September 22, 2023. She is survived by her remaining children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Far more important than her memories will be the love she showed to others, an innate maternal love that made everyone with whom she came into contact remember her, her amazing cooking, her loving ways, patience, wicked sense of humor, mischievousness and unique life experience. She not only enriched our lives rather, many times, she reminded us that life was worth living. Funeral services will be held on December 16, 2025, at St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, 440 E. Elliot Road, Gilbert, Arizona 85234. Her funeral service will be presided over by Father Charlie Goraieb at 10:00 am. The service is being livestreamed at: https://stanneaz.org/liveIn keeping with the generosity of her spirit, the family would appreciate any donation made in her name to The American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
