Patricia (Pattie) Ann Elliott passed away from complications with diabetes at her home in Largo, FL, December 11th, 2025.
For Pattie, Home was where the Heart Is. She made friends wherever she lived, worked or traveled. Born January 9th, 1960 to Wayne and Bernice Elliott, Pattie was the youngest of four children. Her childhood home was in Wyoming Park, MI, where many hours were spent swimming at Lamar Park and skating in Winter. She loved the water, was a great swimmer, working as a lifeguard, in high school, during the summers at Lamar Park and Jackson Park in Wyoming. She will be remembered as the loving “fun aunt” who would swim for hours in any lake or pool with her nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Wyoming Park High School in 1978, she would go on to attend Michigan Technological University, where she graduated in 1984, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Scientific and Technical Communications, as well as the honor of being elected MTU’s Homecoming Queen her senior year. The following year she would earn a rotary scholarship to Australia. Upon her return to MI, she worked as an Admission Counselor for several schools throughout MI and FL, including the International Academy of Design and Technology
Patricia is survived by her daughter, Megan Elliott; her brother, Dr. James (Carole) Elliott, sister, Nan Schanz; her nieces: Katelyn Ludwig, Jenn Schanz, nephews, Dr. Luke Schanz, Sam (Sarah) Elliott.
