Betty Sue Ore White, 69, of Lynchburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, after a short illness. She was the wife of Roy E. White for 50 years. Born September 6, 1956, in Lynchburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles Henry and Lillian Ragland Ore. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Doug Ore. Before retiring, she taught preschool for many years at Timberlake Church. In addition to her husband, Roy, she is survived by her son, Justin and his wife, Jennifer, of Leesburg; one sister Faye White (Wayne Knight) of Forest; two brothers, Tommy Ore (Cindy) of Bedford and Allan Ore (Lynn) of Lynchburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jacob and Emily, who were the light of her life and her greatest joy. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Timberlake Church. Interment will be at 2:30 PM at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, December 19, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Timberlake Church, where she faithfully worshiped and served.
