Warren Abram Ferris, 94, lifetime resident of Syracuse passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 16th at home surrounded by family. Born February 15th 1931. A 1948 Nottingham High School graduate, he went on to earn an associates degree in electrical engineering technology from SUNY Morrisville. He then went on to serve in the Korean war. Following the war, he joined his late father, Abram, as an electrician at Ferris Electric. Warren married his first love and late wife Harriet June Taylor and had two loving children, Glenn and Elaine. After his father's retirement Warren spent the rest of his career working for IBEW Local 43, retiring in 1993. Shortly before retirement, Warren met and married to his second love, Janine Quinn Ferris. He spent the remainder of his life with family and friends. Spending many winters in Myrtle Beach and summers at the family camp. Warren and Janine spent many years traveling the world with Father Mannara's Church Group as well.
He is predeceased by his parents, Abram and Helen Ferris; his first wife, Harriet and second wife Janine; step daughters, Denise Dever and Michele Quinn Romano; step son, Ron Quinn and Grandson, Trevor Quinn.
He is survived by his sister, Alice Hartman, loving children; Glenn (Ginger) Ferris and Elaine (Dana) Imeson, stepchildren; Patrice David and David (Deborah) Quinn. Warren was blessed with 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and a nephew.
Private services for the family will be held prior to putting him to rest at Woodlawn Mausoleum, followed by a large celebration of life party at a later date.
