Jeffrey Nelson Fleming, 68, of Marina, California, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 15, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Jeff was born on October 16, 1957, in Syracuse, New York. He was a graduate of Jordan-Elbridge High School and went on to follow in his father’s footsteps, becoming a master carpenter. A true jack-of all-trades, Jeff had a gift for working with his hands and a warmth about him that meant he never met a stranger.
Jeff lived life with curiosity and passion. He enjoyed many hobbies, including photography, enduro racing, golfing, and the art of stained glass. In 2005, he moved to the West Coast to be with Paula (his angel), whom he married in 2014. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Family was at the heart of everything Jeff did. He cherished traveling with family and friends, spending time with his grandchildren, and being near the ocean, where he loved relaxing on the beach. One of his greatest joys was cheering on the Buffalo Bills alongside his beloved son, Justin.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Paula (Wood) Fleming; his son, Justin (Rochelle) Fleming of Lafayette, NY; his stepdaughter, Jennifer (Alex) Martinez; his grandchildren, Scarlett and Diego of Vacaville, CA, his sisters, Lisa (Joe) Bancheri of Solvay, NY, and Rhonda Doran of Baldwinsville, NY; Aunt Carol and Uncle Jeff Day of Mission Viejo, CA; his beloved cousins and many nieces and nephews.
Jeff will be remembered for his kindness, craftsmanship, adventurous spirit, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life for Jeffrey will be held at a later date in California & NY.

Despite our long history, we have evolved to meet the changing needs of our families. Our facility includes spaces both large and small. Whether a handful of friends and family or a large crowd, we can accommodate all. As a reflection of our commitment to our diverse region, we offer multicultural funerals....
