Lindo Jennings O’Cain, 94, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years, Helen Coker O’Cain.
Lindo was a dedicated employee of Southeastern Freight Lines and received many safety awards. He retired after 25 years of service. Lindo was a proud member of Calvary Baptist Church where he actively served as a deacon and sang in the choir. He loved visiting homebound members.
Lindo enjoyed gardening and grew a lot of Fruits, vegetables and plants. He loved to share what he grew with his friends and neighbors. This generosity and his friendly disposition earned him the name “Mayor of Knollwood”
Lindo loved spending time with his family and would always joke around with anyone he met. His smile was infectious. He was a devoted dad, Papa and great-Papa. He is survived by a sister, Henrietta Boiter; Daughter, Jeanie Rose (Tim); Granddaughter, Jennifer Crawford (Kevin); Grandsons, John O’Cain (Amber), Daniel O’Cain (Hailey); and great grandchildren, Mia, Kamryn and Keegan Crawford.
Funeral Services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 1:00 pm.
The family would like to thank the staff of Warriors Walk Hospice Care for their kind hearts and dedicated care.
In lieu of flowers, donations can made to Epworth Children’s home, Samaritan’s Purse or a charity of your choice.
