You taught us love. Not just as a wife not just as a mother not just as a grandmother. For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.

**Obituary for Ruth Ann Waits** Ruth Ann Waits, born Stockburger on July 21, 1958, in Canton, Ohio, passed away on December 15, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. Ruth's spirit, fiercely courageous and undeniably vibrant, touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Ruth was the cherished daughter of Donald Stockburger and Roseland Stockburger Leary, who preceded her in death, as did her beloved son Brandon Waits and her brother Stephen Stockburger. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her husband Corey Waits, son Cody (Kristy) Waits, and daughter Catherine (Bob) Clyde. Ruth was a proud grandmother to Braydon, Rylan, Connor, and Allyson, their laughter filling her heart with joy. She was also a devoted sister to ten siblings, a loving aunt to numerous nephews and nieces, and a great-aunt to several great-nephews and great-nieces. Ruth's early education took place at Flowing Wells High School, where her friendships and fond memories began to blossom. Her career journey was one of dedication and service; she first worked as a daycare provider from 1976 to 1979, brightening the lives of many young children. She then transitioned into food brokerage, a field she excelled in from 1979 until 2001, before joining Holsum from 2001 until her passing in 2025. Throughout her career, Ruth was known for her kindness, energy, and generosity—qualities that defined her both personally and professionally. A lover of dance and music, Ruth enjoyed every moment spent at her children’s sporting events and musical activities, where her encouraging presence was felt and appreciated. She had a unique ability to make others laugh, leaving a trail of joy in her wake. Ruth’s honesty and thoughtfulness made her a trusted friend and confidante to many. As we prepare to celebrate her life, details regarding a memorial will be shared, inviting all whose lives she touched to honor her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting Ruth's giving spirit. Ruth's final resting place will carry the words: "You taught us love. Not just as a wife, not just as a mother, not just as a grandmother. For all of us, you gave your best. Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep." While Ruth may no longer be with us in body, her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to inspire all who were lucky enough to know her. May she rest in peace.
