Cindy Elizabeth Chaves, 71, of Homedale, Idaho, went to be with her granddaughter, Faith Chaves; her father, Lawrence Dennis; and into the arms of her Heavenly Father on December 7th, 2025. Cindy is survived by her mother, Nellie Dennis; her brothers, Larry Dennis and Dan Dennis; her children: Jason Chaves, Michael Chaves, Keats Chaves, and Rebecca Chaves; and her grandchildren.
Cindy had four major jobs in her life, where she made lifelong friends and touched many people’s lives. She worked at Caxton's printing press in Caldwell as a bookkeeper at the then named Producer Supply Co-Op in Parma, and at Owyhee County Court House in Homedale, where she worked as a deputy clerk until she retired. But her first and greatest job was raising her four children and later, loving her grandchildren.
Cindy’s greatest joy was her family, and “everything she did was guided by her love for us. She shared her favorite movies, filled our home with music, and placed books in our hands that helped shape who we became,” says her daughter, Rebecca. These moments were more than simple entertainment – they were the ways she connected, taught, and expressed her love.
Cindy will be deeply missed for her laughter, her presence, her friendship, and the sense of safety and understanding she so generously provided. Her love lives on in our hearts and in every story, song, and cherished memory we carry with us.
