Charles Edward Harris, Jr., of Kingsport, Tennessee, passed away on December 23, 2025.
Eddie was born on March 23, 1945, was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, Class of 1963, and went on to further his education at East Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis, where he earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He devoted many years of his professional life to Holston Valley Medical Center.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Silvia; his son, Tanner; his daughter-in-law, Abbey; and his only grandson, Robbie. He is also survived by his brother, David Harris and his wife Sarah; a host of extended family and dear friends; and his beloved golden retriever, Lexi.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Harris, and sisters, Kathy Reed and Connie McQueen.
At Eddie’s request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Bridge Home No Kill Animal Shelter.
