Alfred was born in Cherokee, Iowa on May 12, 1947, and passed away on December 19, 2025. He is survived by his wife, Marivic, daughter, Nicole (Roy Keller) and sons, Donald (Dreama) and Victor and grandchildren- Tyson, Lucas and Hailey. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnamese war. He retired at 55 from the Monterey County Department of Social Services as an Eligibility Worker. He will be remembered as the Cub Scout Master of pack 222, a volunteer Crossing Guard for Creekside Elementary, a volunteer for The First Tee in Salinas and an Elks member. He loved to play poker and was a die hard, 49ers fan.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
