Bert Edward Johnson Jr., 65, passed away on December 21, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona. Born on August 8, 1960, in Hamilton, Ohio, Bert lived a life marked by service, dedication, and unwavering love for his family and country.

Bert proudly served in the United States Air Force as a member of the security forces. His military career took him to various locations around the world, including Turkey and Guam. While serving overseas, he actively participated in sports and represented his units with distinction—playing on the Pacific Air Forces golf team and competing as part of the U.S. Air Forces Europe racquetball team.

Following his honorable retirement from the military, Bert continued his commitment to public service. He worked as a sharpshooter and officer at Perryville prison before culminating his professional journey as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. In every role he held, Bert brought discipline, integrity, and a strong sense of duty.

Bert’s deep faith was a guiding force throughout his life. He had a profound love for God and country—a devotion that shaped both his personal values and professional path.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Brandon Johnson; and his sisters, Jeanette Johnson and Heidi Foote. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda Lee Johnson and Bert Edward Johnson Sr.

To those who knew him best, Bert was more than a serviceman or public servant—he was the best dad and friend in the world. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
