Betty L. Briseno, of Chandler, Arizona, peacefully passed away on December 23rd, 2025, at the age of 84. Her beloved husband Ron and her sweet dog, Tux, were by her side. Her family is profoundly saddened, but know that she is at peace.

Betty was born on November 18th, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to Michael and Genevieve Anchor; she was the eldest of three siblings. In December 1962 Betty met her true love and darling husband Ron and in September 2025 they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. Betty and Ron moved with their daughters Michelle and Kristin to Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1984.

Betty was devoted to motherhood, and her daughters have many happy memories of growing up having such wonderful parents. Betty and Ron instilled a love of culture in their daughters by frequently taking them to the theatre, art museums, and the symphony. Betty was also always game to attend any concert, and among (many) other shows she saw Chicago, Sha Na Na, the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, the Rolling Stones, and John Denver with her family. She also adored going to the movies--even though she was notorious for sometimes falling asleep during them, especially when her daughters were young and the family went to the drive-in theatre (in their van, of course) in the 1970's. Along with her dear husband Ron, Betty loved to travel by car, and they and their daughters explored almost every state in the US together. Betty was also the biggest fan of both Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld, so much so that for the past 20+ years, she often talked about them as though they were members of her family ("do you know what Jerry did the other day?"). And, although Betty claimed she disliked cooking, nonetheless she made the very best chicken soup in the world.

Betty was also an extraordinary grandmother (christened "GaGa" by her eldest grandchild, Reed). Her grandchildren will always fondly recall her giving them the gift of her willingness to patiently listen to them talk about any topic--even when they were little and only wanted to talk about legos or their favorite movies. GaGa would always let her grandsons stay up late when one of them visited, and she would sit by their bedside chatting until the wee hours of the morning. And, GaGa was so much fun for her granddaughter to be around, amazing at creating happiness in their home as well as providing comfort when needed.

Betty was predeceased by her beloved parents, as well as by her dear brother Michael Anchor, dear brother-in-law Mike Culbertson, and darling nephew Shawn Culbertson. She is survived by her cherished husband Ron Briseno, her two darling daughters (Michelle Parker and Kristin Briseno), three adored grandchildren (Reed Corse, Lane Parker, and Dru Bowyer), dear sister Mary Culbertson, dear nieces Karissa Culbertson Chapman and Jessica Anchor, and dear great-niece Zailya Chapman. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness to her family as well as to many others, including the children of her friends and the friends of her children.

Betty was greatly loved and is greatly missed; the world is no longer quite as bright as it was before her passing.
