In Loving Memory of,
Reginald R. Miner Jr.
March 7, 1962 – December 22, 2025
Reginald R. Miner, 63, of Syracuse, New York, passed away on December 22, 2025. Born on March 7, 1962, he spent his life rooted in the city where he was born and raised.
Reginald lived with a bold spirit and a full heart. He loved to dance, to cook, and to savor every good meal placed before him. His laughter was unmistakable, his energy unforgettable, and his presence had a way of brightening even the hardest days. He was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back—always willing to help. His life wasn’t always easy, and he carried his share of flaws and struggles, but he tried, especially toward the end, to do right by those he loved.
He was predeceased by his father, Reginald Miner Sr.; his brother, Edward Dennis “Butch” Miner; his sister, Kathy Krzywda; and his brother, William Vancott.
He is survived by his mother, Ida Mathewson; his sisters, Linda Perry and Mary Hurba; his children, Darryn Miner, Samantha Miner, and Reggie Miner III; his Domestic Partner, Jenna Decker; and his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable pride and joy.
Reginald's wishes were to be cremated. A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home is taking care of arrangements.
Rest in Peace.
