Eleanore grew up in the very small town of Hedgesville, West Virginia.  She was the only girl in her family and she had 3 older brothers.  Her father passed away when she was only 9 years old.  She graduated from Sheperd College in Sheperdstown, WVa and she became a dental hygienist.  She met the love of her life, John Perkins and became the wife of a well respected Arlington County Attorney.  They adopted two children, John Paul & Elizabeth, from Catholic Charities and she devoted her life to her loving family.  She was a loyal and faithful parishioner at St Agnes Catholic Church for many years and did many different types of charity work from working at meals on wheels to thrift stores.  She came to the Goodwin House approximately 10 years ago and worked in the what not shop here as well as attended Sunday services there.  She was a generous and kind woman who always put others needs before her own.  She is survived by her two children, John Paul & Elizabeth, and her grandchildren, Kent, John Antonio, Alexandra, Vincent & Virginia.
